Native Plant Specialist
The Hulse garden is a masterpiece of diversified plantings with the intention of supporting hummingbirds, butterflies, moths, and birds. Encompassing two lots, one area hosts a variety of plant environments including woodland, meadow, fruit-bearing plants and raised beds with vegetables and herbs. In the meadow area are 150 species of mostly native plants with 35 being host plants to specific butterflies & moths. On the Richardson Street side of the property large trees create a park-like landscape with a woodland edge. On the other side of the meadow, a yellow garden has been created with a variety of yellow flowers. The owner has enjoyed creating this sanctuary for many species of plants, insects, and birds.
