September Third Saturday Class “Creating a Native Plant Habitat”

Master Gardener & Photographer Ron McKitrick will show us how to create garden habitats for native birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinators using native plants. Among the benefits, natives use less water and fertilizer since they thrive in local conditions. Through his own trial and error process combined with an understanding of environmental factors, Ron discovered that he not only transformed his backyard but also stimulated his own well-being. His examples will include the various ground covers, vines, perennials, shrubs, and trees he used to create his garden habitats. Join us to learn from his gardening experiences and be encouraged to enhance your own backyard with native plants.
