3rd Saturday Class: The Art of Pruning

February is a great time to prune many of your trees and shrubs to keep them healthy and beautiful. This class provides the opportunity to learn basic pruning skills with two experts: Josh Beers and Janzen Velba of Tree Worx Arbor Services. They will explain when and how to properly prune trees to make them stronger and more resistant to damage from storms, decay, and disease while maintaining their attractive benefits in your landscape. Weather permitting, the talk will be followed by a walk around the arboretum to identify trees needing pruning and demonstrating where the cuts should be made.

Classes are held in person at the UT/TSU Hamilton County Extension (6183 Adamson Circle, off Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga).
