3rd Saturday Class: Preparing a Cool Weather Vegetable Garden

Join us for our August Third Saturday Gardening Class, “Preparing a Cool Weather Vegetable Garden” presented by Master Gardeners Juanita Wade, Vicki Guth, and Debbie Bauder. The class will cover fall garden clean-up, prepping the soil, warm season versus cool season vegetables, and how to extend the cool season with row covers and low tunnels. We will also discuss raised beds vs in-ground gardens, as well as container gardening for those with limited space. Finally, we will present a selection of easy to grow cool season vegetables for those just starting out.

Classes are held in person at the UT/TSU Hamilton County Extension (6183 Adamson Circle, off Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga).
