The Mission Garden is a joint project of Christ Church and the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County. All of the produce is grown organically and donated to area food pantries. Our volunteers grew, harvested and donated over 1000 lbs of produce last year!
During the summer months, we harvest and deliver produce on Mondays and Thursdays as well as watering as needed. On Saturdays we do general maintenance in the garden. We start at 8:00am on our workdays and stay until our work is finished, generally about an hour.
We welcome all skill and experience levels. We love experienced gardeners to lend their knowledge and wisdom, but we also love to teach the basics of vegetable crops to people who are new to gardening. If you want to learn, to teach or just to serve, there is a place for you at the CUMC Mission Garden!
