Janet and Ron Jobe’s garden is an Asian-inspired oasis encompassing two large lots in an established, nearly 100 year old neighborhood. Enter through one of three antique Asian-inspired wooden gates to be enveloped in the greenery of ancient oak trees canopied over a dry pebbled creek bed with a flat stepping stone path leading to the park like boundary at the back of the property. Ever in a state of renewal and refinement, this certified wildlife sanctuary is a respite for birds, pollinators and other creatures, as well as the gardeners and their Aussie collie. A water garden with a flowing fountain, lily pads and water iris includes over fifty orange, white and black koi-like fish. Weeping cherry trees, native plants and a not-so-native bamboo grove complete the Asian influenced landscape. The arbored outdoor room is a frequent gathering place to relax and enjoy the mature scenery amid the sound of bubbling waters.
