Naturalized Native Plantings for Wildlife
Established in 2012, garden is a pesticide-free, organic, naturalized habitat for wildlife. Native plants, especially those that are draught tolerant, have been added every year to attract pollinators. Throughout this yard, native bees, butterflies, moths, and birds find food, water, and nesting sites to complete their life cycles in the flower beds and hedgerows. Adding interest are pieces of yard art placed throughout. The front of the house shows how terracing can create a beautiful native plant garden on a steep slope.
