Master Gardeners of Hamilton County are available to speak at your club, school, church or other civic organization on garden-related topics. We work under the University of Tennessee Extension Services guidelines and teach materials provided by theĀ University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. We are not financially compensated for any of our service to the community. We do accept voluntary donations to MGHC for our scholarship and community grants programs.
Some recent educational programs taught by MG volunteers are:
- Native Plants
- Monarch Butterflies
- Attracting Pollinators
- Edible Landscaping
- Daylilies
- Hydrangeas
- Shade Gardening
Our group of speakers and topics change on a regular basis. Please let us know what type of gardening your group is interested in and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If we don’t have a subject expert available, we may suggest other topics.
To request a speaker, send an email to info@mghc.org. Please provide us with information about your organization, the date and time of the presentation, and the subject you are interested in.
