Master Your Garden Expo

Since 2013, the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County-TN have presented our “Master Your Garden” Expo at the Camp Jordan Arena, in East Ridge, TN. Focusing on gardening and the outdoors, the Expo brings together a wide-ranging array of exhibits, demonstrations, educational activities, and vendors of interest to experienced gardeners, gardening enthusiasts, and the general public. As a nonprofit, volunteer organization, our goal is to provide the most up-to-date gardening information from the experience and variety of our vendors, talks by experts, and live demonstrations by Master Gardeners.

Proceeds fund scholarships for agriculture and horticulture students in the state of Tennessee, as well as local community garden and educational projects.

The Master Your Garden Expo features:

• Vendors & Exhibitors: Live Plants (Ornamental Trees & Shrubs, Natives & Pollinators, Herbs & Vegetables), Landscaping & Gardening Tools, Artisanal Foods, Nature-Inspired Art & Jewelry, Hand-Made Crafts & Yard Art, plus much more
• Gardening Talks: Local and out-of-town gardening experts speak on a wide range of topics including: Landscaping with Native Plants, Growing Orchids, Rain Gardens, Pruning & Tree Care, House Plants, Preserving Flowers, Home Canning and more
• Demos: Ongoing presentations by Master Gardeners including: Composting, Grow Buckets, Invasive Vines, Local Wildlife, Magical Monarchs, Mulching, Rain Barrels, Raised Beds, and more
• Ask a Master Gardener Table: Master Gardeners are available to answer gardening questions and provide expert advice on a variety of topics to help the general public achieve successful gardens
• Children’s Area (ages 2 to 12): Budding gardeners can engage in hands-on, gardening-related activities and take home a fun project
• Door Prizes: a wide range of useful items donated by our Vendors and Expo Sponsors
• Hand-Crafted Items: a variety of imaginative items with garden-related themes created by Master Gardeners
