DESCRIPTION:While it may seem counter-intuitive to be planting cool-season crops during these hot July days\, this is exactly when it needs to be done in order to harvest yummy produce in late fall and early winter. Many vegetables — beets\, broccoli\, carrots\, radishes\, kale and lettuces — are sweeter when grown in cool weather! Master Gardener Diane Shelly will show you what to do step by step from selecting seeds to starting them in the right conditions\, to transplanting them in outdoor beds or containers.
