SUMMARY:39th Annual Garden Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County are pleased to present our 39th Annual Garden Tour! This year we have chosen six unique locations — five private home gardens and a public arboretum — in Apison\, Collegedale\, McDonald\, and Ooltewah. These gardens feature inspired\, personalized landscapes created by both long-time gardening enthusiasts and relative newcomers with imaginative approaches. Highlights of this year’s tour include: gardens featuring a wide range of plantings: colorful displays of annuals and perennials\, native plants and pollinators\, plus a wide variety of native trees and shrubs; creative use of hardscape and stone paths to define spaces and add interest; landscapes with unique focal points created by statuary and water features; and an arboretum containing a “living library” of our region’s botanical legacy complete with an audio guide. Touring these gardens provides the opportunity to experience the unique visions of other gardeners\, sparking ideas for your own garden while enjoying a walk through colorful and educational landscapes. \n\n\n\nThe tour can be started at any of the gardens\, which can be visited in any order. Tours of the gardens are self-guided\, so feel free to take your time exploring the properties. Parking is on the street or where designated. We recommend carpooling if possible. As most of these are private homes\, we cannot guarantee that all locations are handicapped accessible. We suggest wearing comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes for walking. Home owners and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. There will also be signs and plant lists for identifying many of the plantings. We hope you enjoy and are inspired by these wonderful outdoor spaces! \n\n\n\nDiamantis Garden / MGHC 2026 Garden Tour\n\n\n\n\n\nNOTE: Online price includes processing fee \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Number of Tickets\n \n \n \n \n \n \n 1 Ticket $21.50 USD\n \n \n 2 Tickets $43.00 USD\n \n \n 3 Tickets $64.50 USD\n \n \n 4 Tickets $86.00 USD\n \n \n 25 Tickets $525.00 USD\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2026 Tour Gardens \n\n\n\nSponsors

SUMMARY:3rd Saturday Class: Grow Bucket Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Do you not have enough room for a full garden? Maybe you only have a small outdoor space like a patio or a balcony. Or perhaps you don’t have the time or ability to manage a large garden but would still enjoy growing some vegetables of your own. In this class Master Gardener Carlton Mathes will explain how to use grow buckets\, which are self-watering planters\, for successful and productive gardening. He will demonstrate how to make a grow bucket\, how the grow bucket works\, and what vegetables and/or herbs can be grown successfully in these versatile planters. You\, too\, can have your own vegetables to enjoy fresh from your own deck! \n\n\n\nClasses are held in person at the UT/TSU Hamilton County Extension (6183 Adamson Circle\, off Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga). \n\n\n\nTo attend this class\, please register on SignUp HERE \n\n\n\nPlease visit MGHC’s YouTube channel for 3rd Saturday Class videos and other gardening-related presentations.
