SUMMARY:3rd Saturday Class: Preparing a Cool Weather Vegetable Garden
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our August Third Saturday Gardening Class\, “Preparing a Cool Weather Vegetable Garden” presented by Master Gardeners Juanita Wade\, Vicki Guth\, and Debbie Bauder. The class will cover fall garden clean-up\, prepping the soil\, warm season versus cool season vegetables\, and how to extend the cool season with row covers and low tunnels. We will also discuss raised beds vs in-ground gardens\, as well as container gardening for those with limited space. Finally\, we will present a selection of easy to grow cool season vegetables for those just starting out. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClasses are held in person at the UT/TSU Hamilton County Extension (6183 Adamson Circle\, off Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga). \n\n\n\nTo attend this class\, please register on SignUp HERE \n\n\n\nPlease visit MGHC’s YouTube channel for 3rd Saturday Class videos and other gardening-related presentations.
