If you’d like to request a member of the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County to speak at your club, school, church or other civic organization, please fill out and send the Speakers Request Form below. Be sure to be specific about the topic you are requesting and provide us a bit about your group. If your request is something we can fulfill, we will contact you as soon as possible.
The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County are also available to educate and advise in many areas of gardening and garden-related events. Requests are evaluated regarding their relevancy to the teaching benefits to the community or requesting event. You may use the Events Request Form below to contact us.
A few caveats: We are NOT A FREE LABOR organization. We DO NOT work at individual, private homes doing gardening chores. We have a list of approved garden projects and are always open to adding new projects but all requests must be presented to the MGHC project approval committee prior to Master Gardeners doing group-gardening work.
We are not financially compensated for any of our service to the community. We will not participate at any political or religious event.
We do not pay for booth rental at events as we are considered a community service. We work under the University of Tennessee Extension services guidelines and teach materials provided by UT.
