Beginning & Newcomer Gardening Classes

Well, it is that time of year again. spring is around the corner and we all are itching to get out in the gardens.

It is also time for the 21th Annual Beginning & Newcomer Gardening Classes, which will again be held at UT Extension, on 4 consecutive Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, March 8, 15, 22, 29. This class is open to the public. Cost is $50. Price includes: notebooks, door prizes, refreshments and questions answered by U.T. trained personnel.

Topics covered will include:

  • March 8th: Soil, Fertilization, and Turfgrasses
  • March 15th: Beginning Landscaping and Edible Landscape
  • March 22nd: Attracting Wildlife and Trees & Shrubs
  • March 29th: Perennials & Annuals and Vegetables
  • Soils Fertilization

Registration and payment are due before attending class.
