This past Spring the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County welcomed the 2013 Class. The new graduates (known as ‘Interns’) completed forty hours of horticultural training.
Once the Interns complete a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service and 8 hours of continuing education hours they will be become Certified Master Gardeners. Volunteer service hours benefit Extension programs and the community. Certification as a Master Gardener is valid for one year, and recertification is both possible and encouraged through the ongoing contribution of volunteer hours.
Also, serveral Master Gardeners were recognized for various service milestones for 5 years of service, number of hours of service, and Lifetime Awards.
