Are you interested in learning earth-friendly landscape management that will save you money and resources? The UT Extension in partnership with the Tennessee Water Resources Research Center is offering a two-evening Homeowner Landscaping Workshop on November 9 and 11 from 6 to 9 pm at the UT Ag Center off of Bonny Oaks at Adamson Circle.
The workshop topics include
- Nine-Step Approach (Tennessee Yards and Neighborhoods program)
- Turfgrass Management
- Mulching and Soil Amendments
- Innovative and Practical Ways to Conserve and Manage Rain Water in Times of Drought
- Landscape Design Principles
The cost is $35 for individuals or $50 per couple. Participants receive a handbook and guide, two free soil tests, rain gauge and hand lens, drinks and snacks, a sign for your yard if your yard measures up, and a great looking, earth friendly yard.
