Homeowner’s Six-Hour Landscaping Workshop

Are you interested in learning earth-friendly landscape management that will save you money and resources?  The UT Extension in partnership with the Tennessee Water Resources Research Center is offering a two-evening Homeowner Landscaping Workshop on November 9 and 11 from 6 to 9 pm at the UT Ag Center off of Bonny Oaks at Adamson Circle.

The workshop topics include

  • Nine-Step Approach (Tennessee Yards and Neighborhoods program)
  • Turfgrass Management
  • Mulching and Soil Amendments
  • Innovative and Practical Ways to Conserve and Manage Rain Water in Times of Drought
  • Landscape Design Principles

The cost is $35 for individuals or $50 per couple.  Participants receive a handbook and guide, two free soil tests,  rain gauge and hand lens, drinks and snacks, a sign for your yard if your yard measures up, and a great looking, earth friendly yard.
