The Native Plants and Wildflower group is pleased to announce that Dennis Horn will be the speaker at the August 2 meeting to talk about Tennessee wildflowers. The meeting will be held at the Ag Center (see map below) and the presentation will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.
Dennis Horn is the lead author of the Tennessee Native Plant Society’s field guide “Wildflowers of Tennessee, the Ohio Valley and Southern Appalachians.” He is the vice-president of the Tennessee Native Plant Society and member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for Rare Plants in Tennessee. He has traveled from the Mississippi River to the Blue Ridge Mountains studying and photographing Tennessee wildflowers. Dennis was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the State of Tennessee in 2003 for his conservation efforts.
The field guide will be available for purchase at the meeting.
