Who are the Hamilton County Master Gardeners?

Master Gardeners are trained volunteers that participate in the community to educate and train the public in the latest gardening information and techniques.

In Hamilton County, there are about 200 master gardeners who contributed over 13,000 hours of service in 2009.  Service includes helping with local community projects, providing education, and writing articles.

State-wide there are approximately 2,000 active Master Gardeners in 46 counties.

Nationally, there are approximately 80,500 active Master Gardener volunteers in US and Canada with an estimated 3,365,870 volunteer hours (2005 statistics).
